Honda Cars PH announces stable supply of the new HR-V, your next subcompact crossover

Since its launch, the well-received new Honda HR-V continues to make its presence felt in the local industry. With its sleek, premium and sporty design, versatility, fun-to-drive performance, advanced technology and safety, the new HR-V reflects the essence of a crossover that is tailored to a dynamic and modern lifestyle.

The new HR-V initially encountered global supply chain and stock challenges. Good news is Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) confirmed it has secured fresh and stable stocks for the local market. Backed by strong demand, here are five (5) compelling reasons why the new Honda HR-V should be your next choice for a subcompact crossover.

  1. Elegant and Sophisticated Exterior

The new Honda HR-V is styled to turn heads, with a sharp exterior that reflects the latest design language of Honda. Standard across all variants are full LED headlights with Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and turn signals, and LED foglights. An integrated front grille commands presence with a pronounced façade, that matches with the Amp Up design logo found on the RS Turbo and V Turbo variants.

Clean body lines and 17-inch wheels (18 inches for the RS Turbo) provide a strong and purposeful design, complemented by 196mm of ground clearance (for V Turbo and S CVT). The look is completed at the rear end with a stylish tailgate and full LED taillights across all variants. The new Honda HR-V exudes elegance and sophistication no matter the destination.

  2. Top-Notch Interior and Versatility

The new Honda HR-V interior is inspired by a human-centric design language that incorporates sensible ergonomics and is appointed with quality materials. Convenience features include an 8-inch touchscreen display audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, remote engine start, and aircon vents plus USB ports for the rear seats.

Also standard in the new HR-V are the ULT Seats, giving the owner more flexibility in cargo space. There are three adjustable modes: Utility Mode where the two rear seats can be folded to increase cargo space; Long Mode where the front passenger seat can also be folded down along with the rear seats for even longer items; and Tall Mode A segment exclusive that allows seat cushions to be flipped up for more vertical space for tall items. This follows Honda’s overall philosophy of ‘man maximum-machine minimum' principle, where the purpose of technology and design is to serve the needs of the driver and passengers.

  3. Powerful and Fuel-Efficient Engines

Powering this subcompact crossover are two engine options; for the S variant, a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 121 PS at 6,600 rpm and maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm, and for the V and RS, a 1.5L DOHC VTEC Turbo 4-cylinder with a maximum power output of 177 PS at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 240 Nm from 1,700 to 4,500 rpm. Both engines are mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) to deliver better acceleration and fuel efficiency that helps the driver feel more confident when driving through various road conditions. In a fuel economy run conducted in 2022 by HCPI in partnership with the Automotive Association Philippines, the S CVT registered 29.66 kilometers per liter in highway driving conditions.

  4. Worry-Free Ownership Experience

Along with Honda’s track record of quality and reliability, Periodic Maintenance Service (PMS) is also convenient with 37 Honda Cars dealerships and two service centers nationwide. Honda is committed to providing the best after-sales through expert and skilled Service Advisors and genuine parts and accessories. To ensure the pristine condition of Honda vehicles, Honda prescribes service visits every 6 months (twice a year) or 10,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, at authorized Honda Cars dealerships or service centers.

Know more about the estimated cost of visits, parts checking and replacement guide, via the After-Sales Maintenance Section or Periodic Maintenance (PM) Cost Calculator Guide Page.

  5. Uncompromising Safety

Regardless which of the three variants is your choice for the HR-V, Honda SENSING is available. The inclusion of Honda SENSING is a step forward in Honda’s 2050 global safety target of zero traffic collision fatalities. This gives the subcompact crossover access to the following safety features:

    • Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
    • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow (LSF)
    • Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
    • Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW)
    • Auto High-Beam (AHB)
    • Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN)

Aside from its advanced safety features the HR-V comes standard with Dual and Side Airbags (plus Curtain Airbags for the RS), Reverse Camera with Guidelines, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Emergency Stop Signal and ISOFIX Child Seat Anchors. All these features earned for the HR-V a 5-star rating in the latest ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia).
