Overcoming with the Power of Dreams

As we step into a new year with fresh hope to pursue our dreams, we also recount what a year 2021 has been. For sure, many challenges continued to arise in the automotive industry, along with the lingering battle against the pandemic. Nevertheless, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. remained resilient, committed to its customers, and true to who it is as “The Power of Dreams.”

Year-end Review 2021

Its 2021 chapter started with the launch of the All-New Honda City Hatchback last April 20. Notably, this B-segment hatch instantly received a lot of love from Filipinos, with the All-New Honda City Hatchback dominating the sales charts in its respective class. Aside from its outstanding 25 kilometers per liter fuel economy rating, the subcompact hatch also features Ultra Seats (ULTR) that can easily adapt to a wide variety of the owner’s lifestyle and cargo needs.

A few days after the All-New City Hatchback’s launch, and HCPI also expanded its dealership network, with the opening of Honda Cars Marcos Highway on April 30, 2021. It is the second Honda dealership under the business group of Gateway Fairview Motors Corporation. Strategically located along the main Marcos Highway and nearby commercial areas, it caters to customers from the eastern part of Metro Manila.

HCPI then announced the groundbreaking of its upcoming new location of Honda Cars Fairview last May 27, 2021. Set to officially open by the 2nd quarter of 2022, the upcoming new site is in Mindanao Avenue corner Regalado St., Fairview, Quezon City, along the main highway and nearby commercial areas.

As the automobile business unit approached its 31st Anniversary in the country, HCPI extended its helping hands through its Donation Drive of PPEs and food packs to select hospitals in Laguna last September 2021. Furthermore, medical frontliners were also honored through Honda’s Modern Day Heroes program which ran from September to November 2021. Then, with the havoc wreaked by typhoon Odette recently, HCPI, through the Honda Foundation, donated to the disaster relief operations of the Philippine Red Cross to support those who were severely affected by the typhoon.

The year 2021 also marked the launch of the 11th generation All-New Honda Civic that comes standard with a VTEC Turbo Engine and Honda SENSING, giving it the power and technology to “Accelerate Greatness”. Notably, the All-New model also earned a 5-Star ASEAN NCAP rating, making it one of the safest compact sedans in the market today. Aside from bringing in its iconic model, HCPI also continued its “Teen Smart” road safety workshops for senior high school students, plus it also bagged 7 wins at the STV 2021-2022 Autofocus People’s & Media’s Choice Awards.

Additionally, several motorsports fans also rejoiced when Red Bull Racing Honda driver Max Verstappen won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the 22nd round of the 2021 Formula 1 World Championship and the 26 points he scored was enough for him to take the World Championship title.

After having such of a fruitful and productive year, HCPI is gearing towards 2022 with some exciting plans. As shared by HCPI president, Masahiko Nakamura, the Japanese automaker is planning to expand its dealership network along with introducing three (3) Honda models to serve its customers better.

HCPI with all Honda companies in the world remain committed to the 2030 vision which is to “serve people worldwide with the joy of expanding their life’s potential.”  This is the driving force behind Honda’s advanced safety technologies such as the Honda SENSING. Aside from innovations in products and services, Honda will also improve the quality of its corporate activities based on the principle of providing superior value to customers. Propelled by “The Power of Dreams” we can be confident in doing much better in 2022 and beyond.
